Kansas students enrolled in 9th through 12th grades are invited to participate in the third annual competition to celebrate the talent of Kansas students and beauty of our state.  Competition finalists will have their works displayed at the Native Sons and Daughters Banquet held annually in Topeka in conjunction with Kansas Day festivities (January 25, 2008).  Works may be displayed at other appropriate forums.

Competition will be judged in the categories of 1) painting, 2) drawing, 3) color photography, 4) black and white photography 5) pastel, and NEW THIS YEAR:  6)digital imaging ( Students may manipulate imagery of their own creation in a program like Photoshop or Illustrator.) and 7) mixed media (2-D but students can draw and paint on top of a digital image or layer on some collage work.)
